After being born in Cape Town, South Africa, Ciara moved to Ireland with her parents in 2013. With her parents and their friends being avid motorbike riders, Ciara was always drawn to motorbikes and watching them on TV. At the age of 8, Ciara got her first motorbike (a CW 125 motocross pit bike). Shortly after she began racing with Rockabill Grass Track Club on her KTM 85. In her second year of grass track racing, Ciara topped the Rockabill Open Grass Track Championship and came second in the Southern Centre Championship.
Thanks to former short circuit star and neighbour Robbie O'Brien, who directed her to the IMC, Ciara made the switch from grass tracking to tarmac racing. Robbie fitted the tyres and wheels to her old 65 machine and took her to Dunkerrin Race Track for a trail run where she fell in love with tarmac racing. In the 2023 season Ciara proved her potential by finishing second overall in the 2-stroke category of the Junior Elite class in her first attempt. As the season progressed the second place finishes turned into wins, meaning she became the Champion in the EPG Machinery Two-Stroke Junior Elite Championship.
In her spare time Ciara plays soccer for St. Pats in Carlow which also helps maintain her fitness. Under the guidance of Team Wood, Ciara took up her next challenge of short circuit racing competing in the Moto One class. Despite an up and down season she finished sixth overall and as the second best Tianda rider. Over in the IMC, Ciara was the only competitors to take overall wins other than the eventual championship winner in the Crossan Motorcycles supported two stroke Junior Elite Championship. Ciara took second int he championship in this season. Ciaras dedication didn't go unnoticed and at round 8 of the USBK championship Bryan Harding approached the team. After a brief conversation he offered Ciara the use of his Moto 3 for the 2025 season.
